We know that inspection day sometimes does not go the way you'd hoped and intended. If you've received the judgement you'd been dreading, Hopscotch will swoop in to pick up the pieces and get you back on the road to where you need to be. Our intensive support will have you smiling again in no time!
Our supportive and knowledgeable consultants will identify and prioritise every action needed, minimise risk to your business' future and ensure that you meet the requirements of Ofsted's report. We stand at your side until the skies clear and you can get back to providing care and education for your little people.
Following the most challenging of Ofsted Inspections, we offer a supportive hand to ensure statutory requirements are met and evidence is gathered to support the Welfare Requirement Notice(s) for your upcoming visit. We work alongside your management team to improve practice and ensure procedures are in place to prevent further breaches of the Early Years Statutory Framework.
Working with your senior leadership, we delve into any areas of development and to unpick the events of your most recent inspection to build an action plan. This will outline how prompt, yet achievable (and measurable) targets can be achieved, to drive progress across your setting. Once a robust action plan has been formulated that identifies the key areas of development, we lead that transformation to deliver those targets.
Offering practical guidance and support for all levels of management and practitioners, our Early Years consultants work ‘on the floor’ to ensure effective modelling and practice is commonplace; and ‘in the office’ to collaboratively create procedures and policies to ensure you remain compliant and offer the highest quality of care. We give your team the tools to cascade best practice down through your organisation!
After auditing and reviewing all policy files to ensure compliance, we offer recommendations on any required updates to further improve practices for all. We can also supply best-of-breed bespoke policy and procedure documents to ensure that you have the best possible foundation to deliver outstanding care and education.
Facing a significant risk due to a sudden departure of a key team member? Our consultant-operators can parachute in, take operational control of your setting and deliver leadership and management to your team while working with you to recruit from outside or promote from within and ensure that those taking on new roles transition into the best possible position. We often do this in conjunction with delivering on an action plan to put your setting back on the road to achieve your goals.
As part of a mock inspection, support visit or deep dive with your senior team, our consultants can quickly identify, build and deliver training for the relevant needs of your nursery. Where possible, we strive to offer ‘in-person’ training in order for your team to receive bespoke, practical CPD that drives progress across all areas of need.
Advising clients and their legal team on the statutory requirements of the effective management of settings, we ensure all stakeholders are kept informed of recommendations, actions and conditions. We proactively work in conjunction with legal teams to create action plans to move settings forward and be compliant in all areas of the Early Years Statutory Framework; gathering evidence for court hearings and working with management teams to strengthen practices and procedures.
With our very own ‘in-house’ recruitment team, we offer support in finding that ‘missing piece’ of your staff team whether that being a new manager, domestic assistant, apprentice or Level 3 practitioner. We will sit down (with a brew) to discuss your requirements and piece together all the support you need to be successful in your next recruitment drive. Our experience in how to recruit and retain staff in your area means that we can pitch your salary and benefits packages correctly for your setting. From writing and advertising open positions, to vetting candidates and to support with the interview process itself, we are here to help you build that positive, successful nursery team.

Throughout the visit, our consultant:
